The Hut

Working from our shepherd's hut, Parker & Dot offer a full interior design service from start to finish.

This can range from a complete house refurbishment through to help with individual rooms. The design can cover anything from furniture and soft furnishings to decorative lighting and wall finishes, all of which are carefully chosen to compliment the overall scheme. Each project is undertaken as a bespoke experience as we like to work closely with the client to help them realise a vision for what they are trying to achieve both artistically and practically. Working meticulously with skilled, UK based craftsmen, Parker & Dot will ensure each project is treated with a fresh approach, tailored to the client’s individual requirements.

Lucy Simpson

Founder and Creative Director

Lucy's journey started after leaving Glasgow Arts School with a degree in Printed Textiles, where her passion for fabric and design began. Over the following years, Lucy immersed herself in the design world, travelling between London and Bristol, experiencing different roles within the industry, eventually settling into her own printed textiles studio.

Over the years that followed, Lucy enriched her experience within the design world by becoming an interior designer, specialising in residential projects for a company based in Somerset.

With former roles in lead design, project management and sales, Lucy has an unparalleled understanding of the interior design industry. Parker & Dot launched in 2021.

In 2024 Lucy launched under the P&D label the showroom in Wells...the opportunity to display beautiful interior products making them available for all to purchase.

Kate Lumsden

Visual Artist

Kate’s passion is creating to put it bluntly! She can adapt to anything put in front of her that includes solving visual problems whether big or small. She’s always curious to see what’s possible….

Kate has brought a fluid interpretation to interior design that P&D love, trying to angle away from structured CAD drawings that feel flat and soulless. By bringing in Kate, when we meet a client, Kate will join us to sketch ideas as we walk through the client's home, helping the client visualize far more clearly. These are then finished in detail before presented to the client with the proposed scheme.

Kate is also joining us to create the P&D Gallery, where she will exhibit her works of art along with examples of her skills at Mural Design …. Please see Gallery to find out more.
